I see no reason why he should retain the "costs. "Counsel's fees" in actions which he successfully fights for the Crown, which is surely part of his ordinary duty?

1. When the A.G. has private practice.

2. When he has not.

The Crown Agent gives it by Salary in lieu of fees for doing its work; and if under the Law relating to Crown Agents any fees received from litigants they are treated as belonging to the Crown.
