to suggest to Your Lordship the advisability of the Legislative Council being moved to vote an increase of pay before the officer selected to receive it actually arrives in the Colony.
This is the second instance within the last few weeks - that the Attorney General, Mr. Goodman being the first - in which the Legislature has been moved to vote an increase of salary subsequently to the officer destined to receive it having arrived in the Colony, and entered upon his duties.
