This decision was concurred in by the Officer Commanding the Troops, Major-General Bevan Edwards, whom I especially requested to attend the Executive Council in order that I might have the benefit of his opinion. I again communicated with the unofficial Members and they consented to modify the wording of their Resolutions in such a way as to meet the wishes of myself and the views of the Executive Council.
