opinion of the Acting Attorney General, a copy of which I enclose, it is not, but Mr Leach considers that in the case referred to above the Government is bound by the conditions of sale.

As it appears that objection might therefore be desirable in the interests of the Colony, I have to request that Your Lordship will be good enough to sanction the course adopted in the case to which I have particularly alluded, and to favour me with such instructions on the subject as Your Lordship may think proper for future guidance.
