I would recommend this suggestion to Your Lordship's favourable consideration, and I may point out at the same time that in Mr W Price's place on the Council has not been filled up.

As regards the latter portion of the above telegram, I trust that Your Lordship has found it possible to make such arrangements as will enable you to reply in the affirmative, for not only are important works being retarded for want of assistance, but the stress of work on Mr Cooper (who at present is necessarily employed both for Mr Brown and Mr Chadwick) is such that it is feared his health will give way under it.
