Member under Art. II of Additional Instructions of 1 Dec. 1883 and Art. III of Instructions of 19 Jan. 88. but whether the Govr has provisionally appointed W. Brown, the present Surveyor General,
or
not, we
report
cannot tell, as no
notice
of his so
doing
has been received.
I do not think W. Chadwick can be appointed to the Exec.
Council without also appointing W.J. Brown, who is the superior officer of
the two; but I hardly see the necessity of both being on the Council
in the
Agent must be consulted
as to the staff of the P.W. Dept. for
