2. I now enclose an amended copy, from which Your Lordship will observe that no building can be erected on Marine Lots 260, 261 and 262, unless the design has been first approved by the Military Authorities. The object of this proviso is to ensure that the building will not interfere with the line of fire from the neighbouring batteries, and no additional stipulation is therefore necessary to provide in the event of the removal, without compensation, of the buildings permitted to be erected by the Military Authorities.
