resigned his appointment as Clerk to the Puisne Judge, of this Colony in order to practise as a barrister in this Colony.
On the recommendation of Mr. Wise, Acting Puisne Judge, I have appointed Mr R. F. Lammert, a local candidate, to succeed Mr. Phillippo.
Mr Lammert will be in the same position as the Clerks to the Judges hitherto occupied, unless Your Lordship approves of the recommendations of the Judges of the Supreme Court contained in my despatch W.216 of 10th July last.
