Though he cannot find Mr. Han's letter of 21st May he admits that he was described to him as "the Additional Surgeon" [as it properly is in despatch No. 102707] and not as "Superintendent of the Fever Hospital!"
I submit that the account given by W. Just in his letter of 5 Oct. to Dr. Toogood attached to 19296/89 sounds much truer than that given in this letter.
The difficulty has really arisen from the curious habit of the Clerk...
