I presume however that the doubt has arisen as to my application for this appointment, owing to the present excessive lot of applications at separation of honours in the Colony as compared with previous years.

Noting that this application may now receive consideration. I beg to ask for an increase to my present Salary, or if that could not be entertained, my removal or transfer to another Colony - giving rise to a vacancy.
