The Crown Agents for the Colonies have been instructed that in future, before a teacher from one of their colleges is definitely appointed, they should relay what core sum is owing to the Imperial Treasury on account of his training.

Alternatively, he should enter into a bond to refund the sum by instalments from his colonial salary. In such cases, the sum, not exceeding £100, may be refunded by the Crown Agents in the first instance.

This arrangement should be borne in mind if you have occasion to apply for the services of such a teacher.
