With reference to Dr. Toogood's letter of the
12th. instant respecting his appointment to the Government
Civil Hospital, 1 an directed by the Governor to state
that His Excellency much regrets the apparent misunderstand-
ing, and would be glad to have a copy of the Crown Agents'
letter offering Dr. Toogood the appointment, as well as
any other official letter bearing on the subject.
