Referring to His Excellings

minute on my letter No. 93 of of th instant, I have the honour to make the following report

as directed.

The only way

obtaining the performance of the duties of the Government Marine Surveyor, when both

officers are absent from the Colony, would be to obtain the services of one or other

of the private surveyors.
