reply, we would state that therein ho attusion whatever
Board is made to our contention, that the instructions

to their enforcement, are to be rediciously applied, and rot
arbitrarity as we maintain they were in the present molâne;
Here
were two vessels leaving for the same destination
at the same time; one crowded with Chinese, and no available
room for Government passengers; the other not so, and
Possessed of accommodation suitable for a female with
an infant, that were ordered by the acting Harbour Master
to Embark. Yet the former vessel was selected, notwith.
· standing the Acting Harbour Master's attention was specially
called to it at the time !!!
