have generally been placed on a sounder footing.
I am therefore able to say that the apprehensions expressed in my Report of 1881 as to the future management of the Mint have not been realised, nor would there seem to be any objection to the circulation of the Japanese coin in Hong Kong on the ground that it may in future be coined in insufficient quantities.
