I am directed by the Lords of the Council to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 15 instant inclosing copy of an Ordinance lately passed by the Legislature of Hong Kong entitled "The Contagious Diseases, Slaughter Houses, and Markets Ordinance, 1887" and requesting the observations of their Lordships on Part I of the Ordinance and Schedule A.
