the receipt of your letter
of the 16th ulto: and to enclose herewith for
the information of His Excellency the Governor, a copy of the reply
which we have received from the Board of Trade to the application
of the Government of Hong Kong for information
as to the cost of Steam Tramways.
The Board of Trade, it will be seen, is not in a position to
furnish the information desired
