The following disbursement was made: -

It will be seen that the actual capital ready for investment amounted to $34,962. As a matter of fact $43,447.81 was invested in the Hongkong & Shanghai Bank – the difference of $2 being occasioned by not allowing sufficient for advertisements. This difference however will be deducted when the Deposit Notes fall due. The amount of $34,978.31 was so invested in two deposit notes, viz: $1,800 and $16,789 and the annual income less commission amounts to $166.12 or at the present rate of exchange about £260.2.7.

On September 7th 1887 I remitted to Mr Lindsay the equivalent of $65.2 viz: £10.1.2 not as half yearly income but as income encashed.
