I have to acknowledge receipt of your letter No. 1845 of the 28th instant.
In reply to your letter of the 23rd instant, I regret very much the decisions His Excellency has arrived at and particularly the expression in your letter that the statements of my letter of the 23rd instant do not include some of the most important facts disclosed by the papers in the Cases; only inferences are to be gathered from which, is, that I have perfectly kept back information.
