The rejoicing should have been marred by the unfortunate accidents which caused the death of two seamen on Her Majesty's Ship "Mutine," and two soldiers of the Royal Artillery, besides injury to others. I am glad, however, to report that the usual liberality of this community has been signally displayed by the collection of a large subscription for the benefit of the families of the killed and wounded.
