Besides Dr Adams,

Officers (Health Officer),

were not

required to give their whole

time to the public service,

and whether

any

such who

had entered the service

between 1859 and 1879 had

or

been either granted or refused superannuation

privileges,

I have the

honour to enclose a Return furnished by the Audit

shewing how the matter

stands.

From such information:

I am able to obtain,

I understand

that

Dr Adams' position

as

public officer, and the facilities of locomotion thus afforded him, so

greatly assisted him in obtaining

a

very

large private practice

I am strongly of

the opinion there should be no

departure in his favour

From

Nov.
