I read the minute. The Policeman who receives an extra payment for injuries, will lose the climate bonus, so that the scale practically becomes less liberal.
On 2 points however the draft might I think be usefully amended:
(1) the medical Certificate should state (C) whether the retirement was to be attributed solely, immediately to the injuries received.
This corresponds with b. & d. in the new drawing scale.
"Not exceeding" should be inserted before the no. of £'s in each case; as there should be some discretion in dealing with maximum amount such as £200 in the new Treasury scale, [which is one of the most important novelties]. I cannot understand, why Capt Deane, whose Salary is £1000, thus is probably already entitled to a pension of £300 a year should get nothing extra, if he were injured & compelled to retire from serious injuries and the same holds good to a less extent with junior officer in the force.
