We have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your letter No. 1127 of the 13th inst. giving reply to our letters of the 5th, 8th, and 9th instant on the subject of the recent prosecution by the Chinese Govt of Chan Tik cheng alias Chingdam for murder/burglary.
You state that "had a satisfactory prima facie case been made out against Ching Same in the late proceedings he would have been surrendered; but the Govt considered the evidence most unsatisfactory.
