to the Acting Police Magistrate,
ac above,

Actg bal Secretary

Minute by the Acting Police Magistrate
beg to call attention to the fact that no reference has in this case been made to Government
The minutes sent me were not sent in consequence of any application on my part. I have been and am perfectly ready to proceed with the case without any reference to Government.
I regret that His Excellency should consider my remarks regarding the Acting Attorney General's minute. I have, in courtesy, no desire to attach any officer of the Government, but I feel bound to defend myself against the censures of the Acting Attorney General for which I can see no grounds.
Soft M.G. Mitchell Jenkins
Actg Police Magistrate

Minute by His Excellency the Acting Governor
The matter may now drop. A certain amount of latitude being extended to magistrates, which would not be extended to other subordinate officers in the Civil Service.
