With reference to your letter of yesterday, I am directed by the Acting Governor to inform you that H.E. is awaiting the Attorney-General's Report in the case of Chan Tik-cheong before taking any action regarding his rendition, and that H.E. will also wait a reasonable time for your proposed letter in connexion with the case.
