In consequence of the possibility of the prisoner Wong Shing being discharged today in the present case, I have the honour to request that His Excellency the Viceroy of the Two Kwang may be pleased to order the detention of the above-named prisoner in virtue of the power vested in His Excellency by Section 8 of Ordinance No. 8 of 1880.
