I am directed by His Excellency the Governor to inform
you that an Order has been issued to one of the Police Magistrates
to issue his Warrant for the apprehension, detention, and examination
of the eight fugitive criminals named in the margin accused of making Burglary & Thunder in Chinese Territory; and I am
to instruct you upon the arrest of the accused to communicate with Messrs Caldwell & Wilkinson, the Government Solicitor, who has been instructed to appear at the Police-Court to conduct the case on behalf of
the Chinese Government.
