Colonel Li Loi, acting Governor under the Viceroy of Canton, is anxious to learn whether any instructions have been received by you from the Consul at Canton relative to Ting Sam Wong Yiu Shing, and six others and begs that, if no such instructions have been received, a telegram of enquiry should be sent to the said Consul.
