As regards the 300 cubic feet air space per head it must be remembered that the principle of measurement out of regard to cubicles is to take the whole vertical clear air space of each storey and not merely of the dormitories except in the case of cocklofts where these bunks or dormitories reach the ceiling and become mere unventilated boxes in which, moreover, the offices of nature are performed.
