In continuation of my letter n: 1409 of the 10th instant and with reference to yours of the 12th instant in reply thereto, regarding periodical inspections of the Tramway Engines, Carriages, and Live Stock by the Government Marine Surveyor, I have the honour, by direction of the Acting Governor, to inform you that provisionally, His Excellency will allow Mr. Brewer to make two or three inspections, but that the Secretary of State will have to be referred to for the sanction of periodical inspections permanently.
