This arrangement

has been found impracticable,

as the whole of the Surveyor's

time is

occupied

with his

valuation work, and the Land

Officer is complaining of

having

no one to attend to

surveying

duties in his

Department.

the only difficulty. The Surveyor General is responsible for certain details to be

included in Crown leases,

and he

says

he cannot do

this duty, unless he has a Land Surveyor attached to

his

Department.
