reclamation works referred to in Sir William Marsh's

Despatch N. 138 of 16th April last, and your despatch N. 86

of the 6th June last, sanctioning

the scheme.

2.

The whole expense

connected with these two

men will not fall on this Government, as there are

other reclamation works

on hand

in the same neighbourhood,

the owners of

which will pay

their proportion of the

cost

as the work has to be

done under Government

Superintendence.

3.

I enclose the usual Particulars

of Office, and

would beg that the men

be sent out as soon as

possible.

I have the honour to be,

Sir

Your Most Obedient

Humble Servant,
