I think that the half pay leave of the Police, like that of other Civil servants, should count as half time for pension.

And it would, I think, not be unreasonable, and to avoid complaints, if we make the new rule apply not only to future periods of leave granted to Policemen, but also to all past leave granted to Policemen now in the force.

I do not think they should count the leave as full service, for though they have no vacation leave like other Civil Servants, they have the privilege of free passage to and from the Colony.

Are they now entitled to a pension? And are they over or under the prospective age limit, irrespective of health?
