It must be observed that there were not actual boundaries or accurate measurement been for it appears by the plan itself there could have Streets to the East, 110 Praya, public road, for the plan shows low and high water marks well. within the Boundaries given, and the hill coming down where the public road should have been at the back.
Those lots therefore could not have been accurately measured.
The Leases for Marine Lots 184 and 185 were granted to the late purchaser, the Baron de Reuter; the boundaries given in the lease are the same as mentioned in the sale plan:
By a plan dated 16th November, 1864, it seems to have been decided amongst other things to remove the road which ran at the back of Marine Lots 184, 185, and 186, and which was the Southern boundary given of these lots and to make a road which would be a continuation of the Road at the back of Marine Lot 188 (a lot to the East of 186).
This would leave a vacant space between Lots 184, 185–186 and that new road and these three spaces were set out in this plan as Lot ...
