Masters of Stamer and local Pales. 2ndly Section 6. Exemption or want of qualification to be a ground of challenge but not of avoiding trial. 3rdly Part of Section 13 which prescribes the striking of a special jury in civil cases.
4th Section 14 "certain names to be passed over".
5th Part of Section 17 which gives to a private prosecutor the right of applying for a special jury.
6th Section 21 which gives the Judge the power of directing a Jury when not unanimous to retire to consider their verdict.
7th Section 22 which directs that in certain cases the Jury are to retire to consider their verdict, the latter part of this Section also enables the Judge to direct the Jury to further consider their verdict.
These two Sections were inverted at the proposal of the Judges of the Supreme Court.
8. In Section 23 it has been provided that in capital cases the jury shall consist of no less than seven men.
9th Section 29 has fixed the remuneration of special Jurors at ten dollars each for every trial.
10th Sections 33 & 40 are new.
