2. Various passages of the Report contained statements which, for reasons it was thought advisable to be given hereafter, have been omitted. These passages I have put within parentheses for facility of reference.
3. Enclosure 2. The Report, as it would print, will be found in the enclosed printer's proof (423).
4. Before the Report was sent to the Printer, the Captain Superintendent of Police (Mr Deane) was informed that it would be forwarded to the Secretary of State, but that some passages should be omitted from the copy to be printed in the Gazette.
