course of introduction in the Colony
The Candidate must be a
practical builder with full experience in all details of town drainage and sewerage and he must be able to take
levels, calculate quantities and frame estimates and specifications
of works.
Term of engagement, three years renewable for a further
term of three years, if his services are satisfactory.
First class passage out and home will be defrayed by the Colonial Government.
Note
For the information of the Crown Agents, a copy of the "Sanitary Record"
is appended containing (marked red) at
page 295, the examination papers of the Sanitary Institute of
Great Britain. A perusal
of the examination questions will enable an estimate to be formed of the standard of competency required of a
Local Surveyor.
