Govetouse Hongkong 10th Apr, 1887

In continuation of my

letter to Yr. Excy, of this day's date I have the honor to forward copy of another letter of Mr. Consul Alabaster since received.

I propose informing Messrs. Douglas Lapraik & Singgrots that they should ship their Kerosine to Canton under Foreign Flag.

I shall be glad if Yr. Excy would inform me whether Mr. Alabaster is right in supposing that when the Customs Stations in the entrances to the Port were made over to the Foreign Custom House they had guaranteed that three stations should be in future confined solely to their legitimate work.

Sir John Walsham, Bart.
