The Revenue of the Colony has thus, it will be seen, increased by more than a half in the last ten years.
5. Turning now to the Ordinary Expenditure of the Colony, which was estimated at $1,152,382, the amount actually spent has been $1,195,237, or $42,855 in excess. The increases over the Estimates amount in all to $81,506, whilst the decreases on the other hand are $38,651. As full details are given in the Comparative Statement, I need not refer further to this subject.
