I have the honour, by direction of His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government, to transmit for your consideration the annexed voucher for expenses in connexion with a woman named Julia (giuota, alias Tobias Taphir) who was admitted into the Lunatic Asylum for treatment at the request of your Consulate-General, under the following circumstances:
On the 31st October, 1885, your Chancellor (Mr Schönberger) wrote to the Superintendent of the Government Civil Hospital, Hongkong.
