vouchers, made by the Government of this Colony upon the Austro-Hungarian Consul, and repudiated by him, for the maintenance in the Colonial Lunatic Asylum from the 29th of March 1886, to the 10th of March 1887, of an Austro-Hungarian subject, and to request that you will move the representative of that Government in London to have the matter adjusted.

The facts of the case are briefly as follows:-

On the 31st of October, 1885, Mr. Schönberger, Chancellor of the Austro-Hungarian Consulate-General in this Colony, wrote to the Superintendent of the Government Civil Hospital requesting the admission into the Hospital of Mr. Tobias Saphir and asking that the expenses incurred on behalf of the patient might be charged to his Consulate.
