The COLONIAL TREASURER—I beg, sir, to move the first reading of a Bill entitled "An Ordinance for the better regulation of the trade in opium", the Ordinance which has been referred to by your Excellency in your speech.
The ACTING COLONIAL SECRETARY seconded. The Bill was read a first time.
The COLONIAL TREASURER gave notice that at the next meeting of the Council he would move the second reading of the Bill.
