I assented. The second reading
of the Bill was then moved by
the Acting Attorney General, who
stated its scope and object at
considerable length.
The motion was seconded
by the Treasurer, Mr Lister, and the question was then adjourned to a special meeting to be held in two days' time, when Counsel will be heard on behalf of the opponents of the Bill.
