There is reason to believe that the number of Chinese in the Colony has increased from 180,000 to 190,000.
11. Taking the lower of these figures, there will thus have been an increase of 30,000 in six years, and there are indications that the increase is going on faster than a few years ago.
In my opinion, one of the most difficult problems that the Government has to face is how to deal with this rapidly increasing influx of population, already out of proportion with the development of the Colony.
