The amount that the ground would realize at Auction would, therefore, be inconsiderable, and the Surveyor-General has recommended, that a free grant should be made, as originally requested by Bishop Burdon, of the smaller lot, ABB.

Considering the purposes to which it is to be applied, I beg to strongly recommend the free grant of this land, and should my recommendation meet with approval, I venture to suggest that an answer be sent by telegram, as the Committee are anxious to commence the construction of the new wing of the Home, as early as possible.
