copy of instructions which
I have caused to be

3. To prevent any
misunderstanding,

to be added in future to the 6th clause of Police Leave Certificate:
"subject to his passing a
satisfactory
medical
examination about 3
the
months before
expiration of his leave
"
as to his fitness to return to a tropical climate.
4. I regret the
expense to which the Colony was put by the necessity of
sending home this wife & four children of the late Police Sergeant
Marsh after
their passages to the Colony had been defrayed.
