Enquiries have been made regarding the incidence of Cholera among different nationalities. King, however, is careful where the Japanese are careless. The latter often drink water expiously, and are indifferent where it is procured. Chinamen, on the other hand, when they drink water at all, drink it after it has been boiled. Their immunity from Cholera may perhaps be not altogether unconnected with this difference in the habits of the two people.
