REGO JUN C

June 14th, 1886.

I have the honour, in pursuance of my instructions, to reply to Your Lordship's note of the ...th instant, stating that Aden, Colombo, Singapore, Hongkong, Adelaide, Melbourne* and Sydney are the British ports at which the four German Lloyd subsidized mail steamers will call on their regular voyages.

As the first departure for Eastern Asia is fixed for the 30th instant, the first departure for Australia for the 14th proximo, I should be particularly obliged if Your Lordship would cause whatever steps may be further necessary in this matter to be taken as promptly as possible.

*It seems "Shelbourne" was likely "Melbourne". Melbourne is a major city in Australia, while Shelbourne is not as prominently associated with the context.
