been received. C. O. 5426 172 ZO. March 24/06 A communication has been received from the Colonial Office in regard to the case of an idiot, named Edward Wallace, who has been sent to Hongkong by the Acting Consul General at Shanghai.
The Hong Kong Government object to the charge imposed upon them for the care and maintenance of the idiot in question and express the opinion that Mr. Alabaster has exceeded his powers in sending the man to Hongkong.
The Colonial Office now desire MR. O'Conor Explg. 24.
