it meets with their approval.

the Merchant Seamen (Payment of

Wages and

Rating) Act, 1880, which is

intended to prevent unauthorised persons

going

on board ship at all, and to state

that the clause referred

to has operated

very beneficially in putting down Crimping in the United Kingdom.
